Indians who wish to travel to Malaysia to study or for employment or tourism purposes need to obtain a visa compulsorily. The Malaysian government eased and simplified the visa application process for Indians when it announced the e visa application. Indians waiting to go to Malaysia could get a visa for himself from the comforts of his home. There are two types of e visas issued by the Malaysian government. One is the E NTRI visa and the other is the malaysia e visa online. Both visas are issued by following almost the same criteria and guidelines. However, there is one major difference between the two.

From the external point of view, both the evisa andentri visa are the same, but the difference between Entri and Evisa Malaysia that an evisa allows an Indian a maximum period of 30 days stay in each of his visits, whereas an entri visa allows one to stay in Malaysia for not more than 15 days. Therefore, if you happen to have a stay in Malaysia for more than 15 days or you are not sure about your duration of stay then you should go for an e visa. In addition, a Malaysia Entri and Evisa difference is that an entri via is less expensive than an evisa. Once you obtain an entivisa, you cannot renew your entri visa within 3 months whereas evisadoes not have such restrictions. You can renew your evisa as many times as you want.

The requirements for an evisa or entri visa are the same. You need a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of your departure and should have two unfilled pages for the entry and exit stamps. You need a recent passport size photograph with a white background showing the full front face. The photograph must meet the size and other specifications or else the Malaysian government will reject your plea for a visa. You must also upload the scanned copies of your confirmed flight tickets and itinerary. A proof of accommodation is also required to be uploaded .both the evisa and entri visa is valid for 3 months. All the above documents must be submitted in jpeg or png format only.

You must apply for an entri visa at least 48 hours prior to the departure date. Once you obtain an entrivisa, you can travel to Malaysia by air, water or land. Not all ports allow entry of visitors having an entri visa so you have to enter through the approved ports only.Entri visa is a single entry visa that can be used for tourist or business purpose.
